Fun Weekend
We had a great weekend. Saturday we lounged around most of the day. Tierney came over after her CNA course and we had meatball and tortellini soup made in the crock pot. Sunday, mom and Tierney went with me and the baby to Lousiville. We all went with Doug and Carrie to the St. James Art Festival. It was a great day to wander around looking at all the different art vendors. Doug and Carrie made their first baby purchase there, an adorable dragonfly night light and a really cool mobile for the baby's crib. Baby C also gave Xavier a present, a mobile for him.

Daddy Phase
Xavier's in a Daddy phase at the moment. He wants Daddy for everything! To read him a book, to bath him, to get him ready in the mornings. I have to admit, it makes me sad even though I think it's probably normal. Still when I get him out of the car seat and he says "No, no, no", it hurts my feelings a bit.

Potty Time
A potty has been purchased. X has been letting us know when he has pooped in his diaper for a few months now, wanting to encourage this behavior we, got the potty. He LOVES it! The first few times he sat on it he got up quickly and wanted to take the potty apart. I showed him all the parts and let him lead the way. Tonight after dinner, I asked if he wanted to try to potty. We settled ourselves on the potty and read a a book. After said book, the potty was empty. I told him we could try again tomorrow but, he wanted to keep sitting so, we read another book, "ABC's" by Dr. Suess. When he got up from the potty this time, there was a sizable puddle in the pot! Yeah!!!! We got very excited and brought Daddy in to see Xavier's accomplishment. Then we rinsed the potty out with the diaper sprayer and Xavier flushed the potty saying "Bye, Bye, Pee Pee" It is a really good night!

Daycare Evaluation
Michael and I had a meeting with Xavier's daycare teacher to discuss his progress. This a typical for kids in preschool, at certain points the teacher does observations and checks them on the Denver scale. So far Xavier is doing everything he should be doing. She said he needs to work on balancing on one leg. This cracked me up, I just thought it was funny that that's the next step in learning, balancing on one leg. She also mentioned that the director of the daycare was "concerned" about the cloth diapers. This really annoys me as, it was one of the main reasons we chose this daycare, they said the cloth diapers were fine. I've sent an email to the local cloth diaper shop owner who, actually used to work at the daycare. Hopefully she'll be able to help out with the situation.

18 month Well Child Check Up (a little late)
Xavier had his 18 month well child check up today even, though we are are closer to 19 months than 18.
Stats:
Weight: 27lbs 3.6oz (62th percentile)
Height: 31.5in (15th percentile)
Head Circumference: 50cm (94th percentile)
He is doing very well with his cognitive and physical development. He had three shots: the last in a the pneumococcal series, the last in the Hepatitis B, and the first of two MMRs. For the first shot he just gave the nurse a mean look but, cried when she poked him the second and third times. :( It was quickly forgotten when we handed him a ducky.
